Jasmine Moran, MAc, LicAc, DiplAc (NCCAOM)

Jasmine is a licensed acupuncturist specializing in Japanese and Chinese styles.  She obtained her Masters in Acupuncture at the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA), and is a nationally certified Diplomate in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

In addition to her private practice, Jasmine is part of the Integrative Therapies team at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), offering acupuncture and acupressure to patients in the Cancer Center, as well as to sickle cell patients.

Jasmine received training in orthopedic acupuncture with Steve Cina and Kiiko-Style Acupuncture under Marcus Schulkind.  She has worked with pediatric patients at Boston Medical Center and is also trained in Shakuju, a Japanese non-insertive technique suitable for children and needle-sensitive patients.

Jasmine’s interest in Chinese Medicine stems from her training in Chinese martial arts and qigong, with which the medicine shares much history and philosophy. When acupuncture treatments ostensibly for sports injuries began improving her digestion, sleep, and asthma symptoms, Jasmine was impressed with the power of this holistic medicine. She continued to get treatments during pregnancy and beyond, and was inspired to pursue a career in mind-body health.

Prior to studying acupuncture, Jasmine worked as a graphic designer, taught kung fu in elementary schools, and ran her own kung fu school in Brooklyn, NY. A mother of two, Jasmine is a musician and singer and continues to perform in various bands locally and further afield (as well as on her front porch: jasminesporchmusic.com). She enjoys working with patients of all ages and from all walks of life.
